Camp Under the Stars at Banksia Springs

100% recommend · from our Hipcamp guests · Hipcamp Star Host

190 acres of genuine Granite Belt bush, a working farm, wide open skies, and absolute quiet. No phone signal. No distractions. Just a fire, the stars, and the kind of peace you can't find closer to town.

Banksia Springs is a real working farm — you're not staying at a theme park version of the country. You might wake up to cattle in the next paddock, catch a sunrise over the Granite Belt ridgeline, and spend your evening exactly like the photo above.

Wilsons Downfall Granite Belt, Queensland–NSW border

What to Expect

Camp by the dam, explore the bush tracks, or just sit by the fire and do nothing for a while. The farm is about 20–25 minutes east of Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt, right on the Queensland–NSW border — one of the most underrated corners of either state.
