A small, chunky polished point with good clarity. Near the tip are fine parallel lines that follow the shape of the point: phantoms, the outline of the crystal at an earlier stage of its growth.

Australian smoky quartz from our family's farm on the Granite Belt, a known smoky quartz area. The colour is natural and untreated: it formed in the ground over millions of years. (Some smoky quartz sold today is clear quartz darkened by irradiation in a lab.) The polished pieces are finished by a specialist cutter. One piece only: the crystal in the photos is the one you get.
