A polished point that goes from clear at the tip to dark smoky at the base, with the rough natural base left on. Near the tip, fine parallel phantom lines show where the crystal paused and grew again.

Australian smoky quartz from our family's farm on the Granite Belt, a known smoky quartz area. The colour is natural and untreated: it formed in the ground over millions of years. (Some smoky quartz sold today is clear quartz darkened by irradiation in a lab.) The polished pieces are finished by a specialist cutter. One piece only: the crystal in the photos is the one you get.
